7 Seahawks uniforms ranked from classic to what were they thinking!?

It was the alternate jersey so unloved, the Seahawks only wore it for one game, ever. It doesn't help that maybe one of the colors you shouldn't mix with lime green is the dull, gun-metal blue.

In 2002, the Seahawks switched dull-looking, gun-metal blue color. It's the kind of blue that fades into the background. And the white away version of this jersey wasn't much better.

Sure, some great things happened in these uniforms. Hall-of-famer Walter Jones wore it. Marshawn Lynch created the first-ever "Beast Quake" wearing it. Of course, the Seahawks got to the Super Bowl for the first time in it. But those feats might not be enough for redemption.

The white jersey doesn't work as well as with the silver helmet and pants. They become kind of a white blur on the field.

Home-field advantage looks great at CenturyLink when the boys are wearing navy blue from head-to-toe, their home jersey since 2012. The texture pattern down the center of the helmet helps break up the solid color without standing out too much.

Also, that lime green is used just to highlight the uniform. It's barely there. (see: No. 1.)

Sometimes you can barely tell the difference between the grey uniforms and the white on TV. But unlike any of the other teams that wear white and blue regularly, Seattle is the only team that has an all-grey uniform in its arsenal, even if it's only broken out once (maybe twice) a year.

Also, Nike gave the jersey color a pretty great name: wolf grey.

The silver helmet with the hawk emblem emblazoned on each side, paired with the brighter blue jerseys of yesteryear still looks good. And it's not just because Steve Largent is wearing it in the above photo. Arguably, some of the NFL's best uniforms are the ones that have strayed the least from their originals, which is why the Seahawks classic is near the top of the list.

Aside from a few changes to stripe width, sleeve design, facemask color, and a brighter jersey overtime, the Seahawks wore a version of this uniform from 1976 to 2002.

Why is this combination the best Seahawks uniform? The white and navy is a classic look, but it's also the combination that Seattle wore as the team headed into Super Bowl victory.

Winning does seem to give an outfit an extra (metaphorical) sparkle.

The Seahawks look good no matter what, but we ranked their uniforms from the finest, classic looks to the what-were-they-thinking moments. Bonus points were given to uniforms worn during big games, but mostly jerseys were judged on their aesthetics.
